Fertility and Gynaecology
Point Specifics is renowned in the Hill’s district area for fertility acupuncture and Chinese herbs.
Acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine may be of great assistance to the treatment of your fertility/infertility, IVF, or any menstrual disorder that may also be hindering you falling pregnant. Treatment is not limited to females. For male infertility – poor morphology (abnormal forms), poor motility and low sperm count may be improved with acupuncture and Chinese herbs. Addressing poor lifestyle and dietary choices that are also impacting overall health will also be looked at.
“When the leaves of a tree are turning brown one can either paint the leaves green or look closer and further down to treat and nourish the root. Chinese medicine is concerned with the whole tree and thus nourishes the root. Over time not only do the leaves return vibrantly but the whole tree is healthier.”
Jacinda and Teja have a special interest in the area of infertility and Chinese medicine. Our waiting room is plastered with photos and thank you cards from previous successful patients.
Gynaecological/menstrual disorders may also be treated with Chinese medicine (even if your goal is not wanting to become pregnant). A combination of acupuncture and Chinese herbs is often used for suffers of all types gynaecological problems including (but not limited to) pre-menstrual migraines/headaches, PCOS/irregular cycles, period pain, endometriosis/ fibroids/polyps, heavy bleeding, menopausal hot flushes/cycle irregularities etc.
Teja and Jacinda's upcoming book, Warm Womb: The Physics of Fertility, hopes to explain fertility health in common sense terms, and build a bridge between Western and Eastern medicine, to create one medicine.
